We lived in Louisville, Kentucky, when we decided that Ocala, Florida was going to be the location of our new home. That meant building a 4,000 square foot pool home, front entrance, miles of fence, and a huge barn with an apartment... from 1,000 miles away! We trusted Terry and his staff from the first moment... his honesty and straightforward way of doing business certainly caught our attention. We are a young couple who were inexperienced in constructing a new home. We needed a quality contractor who was very knowledgeable and trustworthy that would not take advantage of our innocence. Carlson Construction sensed our insecurities and cradled those fears until they transformed into an overwhelming confidence that building our dream home would be one of the most exciting ventures we would experience during our lives. They were patient, accommodating and resourceful. It was the utmost importance that a triangle of beautiful mature oak trees be saved during land clearing in order for our home to be snuggled within their nucleus; a task that Terry Carlson was determined to accomplish. After endless hours of measuring, staking, analyzing, re-measuring and re-staking the foundation layout, I was sure the burden we placed upon him was unachievable. The next day, Terry returned to the site with a steadfast resolution to save our aged natural landscape. Today, my husband and I enjoy many sunrises and sunsets on the porches of our country home nestled between our three enduring oak trees while giggling at our initial reservations of building our quaint paradise.
